Condominium Kitchen Renovation

Case Studies > Renovations > Condominium Kitchen Renovation

Case: Client intends to use condo for 6 to 8 months a year instead of weekends and vacations. Need to renovate kitchen to suit full time occupation.

Discussion: Kitchen is small and lacks storage and counter space.

Process: Discuss needs and wish list. Assess and measure current footprint and adjoining spaces. Design plan and present proposal. Reach mutual agreement on scope of work, time frame and cost. Proceed.

Design: Remove existing hot water tank in adjacent utility closet and replace with demand heater. Use gained space for pantry with rolling shelves. Construct custom cherry cabinets to maximize use of dead space in base corners and above wall cabinets. Sink base to accommodate double basin stainless steel sink and wine rack above sink to compliment green granite counter. Halogen lamps under wall cabinets to light work spaces.

Conclusion: Most of this project was completed in our shop. The finished cabinets were moved on site where removal and replacement took less time and less impact.
